Inauguration of the “Renovated Mangalodayam Library & Sethu Corner” done using the CSR fund of Keltron-Kannur
“Renovated Mangalodayam library & Sethu Corner” done using the CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) fund of Keltron Component Complex Ltd was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Minister for Industries, Law and Coir Sri. P.Rajeev, at 5 PM on 18-5-2025 in a function organized at Govt. High school, Kadungalloor, Aluva, in the presence of renowned writer Sri. A.Sethumadhavan (Popularly known as Sethu). The function was chaired by Sri.Suresh Muttathil, President, Kadungalloor Panchayath, and the Chief guest was Dr.K.V. Kunji Krishnan, President, State Library Council. Mr.K.G.Krishnakumar, Managing Director, Keltron Component Complex Ltd offered felicitations on the occasion.
It was a cherished moment for us to be a part of this triumphant event and also being felicitated by Hon’ble Minister P.Rajeev. Funded by our CSR fund, we could become a part of the renovation of the Mangalodayam library, Kadungalloor panchayath, Aluva, which was damaged in flood and also set up of the Sethu book corner. Sethu Corner in Mangalodayam library is setup with a collection of books written by Sri.Sethu and with study/research facilities on Malayalam literature. Our CSR fund conceptualized to address the pressing national issues and also aligned with social development includes setting up public libraries.
Renowned writer Sethu, penned 40 books, has gained many prestigious awards including Kendriya and Kerala Sahitya Academy awards, Ezhutachan award etc. He scripted the movie Jalasamadhi which was screened at various international film festivals and bagged many accolades and awards. His famous novel ‘Pandavpuram’ was translated into 9 languages and it filmed in Malayalam and Bengali. He was the chairman of National Book Trust of India. Not only in the field of literature but also in his career he marked his own distinction, as he retired as the Chairman and CEO of The South Indian Bank.
